Prof. Michael R. Jaff:   I would probably put hypertension first since control of blood pressure is crucial.  Aspirin would be second followed by statin and smoking cessation.

Prof. Michael R. Jaff:  You could really use anything.  Every class of anti-hypertensives has shown a reduction in stroke， but the one that probably has the best beneficial effects on artery health is the angiotensin II receptor blockers or the ACE inhibitors.
